"Brinner" Patty Melt

A mouthwatering sausage patty melt recipe designed for breakfast AND dinner.

1 egg
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
½ small sweet yellow onion, thinly sliced
2 fully cooked sausage patties
2 slices Swiss cheese
2 slices sandwich bread


  1. Cook sausage patties according to package directions.
  2. Sauté onion in butter until caramelized. Remove onion from pan and fry egg over medium heat until desired doneness
  3. Place one slice cheese on one slice of bread. Top with sausage, egg and remaining slice of cheese. Cover with remaining slice of bread.
  4. Brush outside of sandwich lightly with butter or margarine. Grill in sandwich press until browned and cheese is melted.
